Conservation

Our Passion

One of our main focuses at My African Dream is the sustainability of Africa’s natural heritage. By marrying travel, tourism and conservation, we hope to ensure that your safari is not only unforgettable, but positively contributes toward the conservation of Southern Africa’s endangered species. This is done by donating a portion of our proceeds from every booking to a conservation organisation of your choice. Through these contributions, we hope to afford our guests the opportunity to feel connected to the specific conservation causes and the endangered species that they protect.

Guests will be able to contribute to the following organizations:

Endangered Rhino Conservation

Mission: Working to ensure the protection and survival of endangered rhinos through raising awareness and funding conservation and research efforts throughout Africa.

African Wildlife Conservation Fund

Mission: To conserve viable populations of endangered African wild dogs and other large carnivores in Zimbabwe, through research, hands-on conservation, education, community engagement and policy dialogue.

Panthera

Mission: Panthera is the only organization in the world devoted exclusively to the conservation of the world’s wild cats.

SANCCOB

Mission: SANCCOB is a registered non-profit organisation whose primary objective is to reverse the decline of seabird populations through the rescue, rehabilitation and release of ill, injured, abandoned and oiled seabirds – especially endangered species like the African penguin.
